Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm - Flexible working with overtime

Up to £40,000 per annum (depending on experience)

One to One Personnel is proud to be working with our client who offers professional surveying services across the UK and Europe. Due to an expanding workload they are seeking a Topographical Surveyor to join their team based in Rayleigh.

To be considered for this role you must have the following requirements:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience as a Topographical Surveyor
  • Skilled in the use of GPS (Ground Penetrating Radar) and TPS (Total Station)
  • Be able to produce detailed underground topographical surveys
  • Able to use CAD and SSC Controller preferred
  • A minimum of 3 years solid UK based work experience
  • Experienced at training other members of staff
  • Ability to work away from home occasionally
  • A full UK driving licence

Role

  • Carry out site surveys as required by the work instruction
  • Undertake thorough and detailed topographical surveys and conduct paperwork in accordance with company procedures
  • Liaising with other site surveyors, contractors, suppliers, clients
  • Carry out appropriate quality control checks before drawings issued to customer
  • Mentor and train less experienced surveyors
  • Overseeing technical aspects of projects to ensure quality delivery
  • Recording of utility mapping survey markings
  • Must be self-motivated, have the ability to follow instructions and to work on their own initiative

Skills & Attributes

  • Previous experience working as a Topographical Surveyor, ideally with supervisory experience.
  • Advanced skills in the use of GPS and TPS.
  • Ability to use CAD and SSC controller preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of underground utility mapping and GPR
  • Knowledge of Topographical Surveying equipment beneficial but not essential
  • Experience working across a wide variety of environments and on complex surveys
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Experience of carrying out training of other staff
  • Ability to work away from home occasionally
  • CSCS qualification is beneficial but not essential
