Pivot Steer Warehouse Operative
Do you have a current Pivot Steer/Flexi Forklift licence with warehouse experience? If so, we have a permanent opportunity with our client based in Wickford. As Pivot Steer Warehouse Operative, you will be working both alone and as part of a team with efficiency and commitment to complete your work and strive to maintain the business performance targets.
Key responsibilities include:
- Unload, stack, move, and place products between various sections of the warehouse as needed
- Receive and process new inventory, ensuring contents match manifest documents and inspecting for defects, damages, or missing items
- Use forklifts, pallet jacks, hand carts, etc. to transfer and deliver goods
- Label warehouse stock for quick and easy identification and retrieval
- Collect, prepare, package, and label goods for shipment
- Double-check items to verify the accuracy of outgoing orders
- Ensure tools and equipment are kept clean and in working order and report defects
- Work with other warehouse team members to effectively complete assigned tasks
The ideal candidate will have:
- Forklift and narrow aisle (Flexi/Bendi/Pivot Steer) truck certification and current licence
- Previous warehouse experience
- Physical stamina; must be able to lift min 20 kgs at a time
- Computer literate
- Literacy and numeracy
- Self-motivated
- Flexible and willing to take on a variety of tasks
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Makes safety a priority
Job Type: Permanent
Salary: Paying up to £28,000 PA
Hours: 08:00 to 16:00 Monday to Friday
