Mobile Maintenance Operative
We are seeking an experienced Mobile Maintenance Operative to provide comprehensive support to our Property Management client.
The successful candidate will be issued. an iPad, mobile phone, tools, PPE and a company vehicle, so a full clean driving licence is essential.
The role will be varied, and you will be expected to work under your own initiative and be able to plan your day effectively.
Job Purpose:
- Providing maintenance services to a number of privately rented properties across Southend
- Provide general low maintenance onsite – i.e., replacing door hinges, handles etc
- Fixing leaking taps and any minor plumbing duties
- Changing light bulbs and helping with any minor electrical/lighting requirements
- Carrying out general painting and re-touching where required
- Sweep, clean and wash staircases, landings, lifts, lobbies, entrances, car parks, grass and shrub areas, and arrange for the removal of all items of bulk rubbish deposited on estates.
- Keep all gullies and inspection chamber access covers clean and clear
- Become acquainted with the position of all stop cocks and draw off taps to the communal parts of the building(s) and to be reasonably aware of the location of these.
- Inspect fire equipment regularly and report any defects.
- Keeping certificates up to date
- Carrying out general maintenance and scheduled works
- Carrying out property inspections
- Reporting findings and collecting photo / evidence to support recommendations.
Job Requirements:
A full clean driving licence is essential for this role.
Candidates must be able to work on their own initiative, be organised, reliable, trustworthy and physically fit with previous experience carrying out building / janitorial / caretaking / facilities / maintenance works.
A DBS check will be required.
Area: Locally in Essex, Southend
Hours: Monday to Friday 8.00am – 4.00pm – 35 hours per week after 1 hour’s break is deducted
Salary: £25K per annum
