Health & Safety Intern
About the Role:
We are seeking a Health & Safety Intern to assist with workplace safety practices and support the HSE Manager. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Health and Safety management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in conducting safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments
• Document findings and support corrective actions
• Help review and update safety policies and procedures
• Draft safety communications and training materials
• Assist in investigating incidents and recommend prevention measures
• Support safety training sessions and workshops
• Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities
• Analyse safety data to identify improvement opportunities
• Stay informed about health and safety regulations and ensure compliance with UK standards (e.g., ISO 45001)
Requirements:
• Currently pursuing a degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field, or have relevant work experience
• Basic understanding of workplace safety principles and regulations
• Strong organisational, analytical, and communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and proactive attitude
• Experience with safety management software is a plus
Salary & Benefits:
• £25,000 to £27,000 (Depending on Degree)
• Full Time Internship - Monday to Friday 9am-5pm – 37.5hrs p/w
