The Role: CNC Machine Setter/Operator (Star sliding head)

As they continue to expand, they are seeking a skilled and dedicated Star Sliding Head CNC Machine Setter and Operator to join their team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate Star and Hanwha Sliding Head CNC machines to produce precision components based on engineering drawings and specifications.
- Conduct routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Monitor machine output, make necessary adjustments, and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with the production team to meet deadlines and maintain high-quality standards.
- Perform inspections on finished products to ensure they meet quality specifications.
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sliding Head CNC Machine Setter and Operator.
- Proficient in interpreting and working from engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming, tooling, and machining processes.
- Ability to perform routine maintenance on CNC machines.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
The Package
- Salary Range: £35,000 - £45,000 (dependent on experience)
- Monday to Friday 7:15am – 4:15pm, 7:15am – 2:45pm 30 minutes lunch and 15-minute morning break
- Over time available at time and a half on Saturdays 7:00am – 11:00am
