Business Development Consultant
Are you experienced in sales and looking for a new Business Development role?
If so, we have an exciting opportunity with our client based in Leigh who are looking for a Business Development Consultant to join their busy office sourcing new business, plus the development of existing business through four main revenue sources. two membership bodies, a leadership development programme, and an annual conference.
Upto £28,000 basic + Comms + Bens
Responsibilities
- Manage existing business with a minimum of quarterly ‘customer service’ calls which will present the opportunity to sell additional services
- Generate new business from existing or new leads
- Research new areas for potential growth
- Record all activity and information gathered (verbal and written) in the CRM database (Mercury) and in other documentation as required
- Communicate and promote new product developments to prospective clients
- Provide input to the development of marketing literature
- Provide management with feedback for monthly board meetings
- Undertake client meetings and represent the company at networking events and conferences when required
- Achieve sales targets as set by the Business Development Manager
- Build strong industry relationships and general contacts to maintain & support an excellent reputation in the marketplace
- Maintain and build strong internal relationships within the company
- Identify threats in the marketplace to the future growth of the business and act on these (e.g., monitor competition)
Skills and experience
- 3 years minimum sales experience, proven ability in new business acquisition
- Ability to sell multiple products and services and speak fluently and articulately about these.
- Record of consistent & exceptional achievement in exceeding sales goals
- Well-developed administrative and territory management skills
- Team player
- Energetic, confident, passionate and hungry for success
- A passion and aptitude for consultative selling
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
For this role both full and part time will be considered. Flexible working is also available upon successful completion of probation period.
